OAKLAND, August 19-23

Congratulations to Peter and the Soja crew on moving to the new facility!!

We have three programs scheduled for August in the Bay Area

Saturday and Sunday August 20-21

1000-1800:

Designing and Running Scenarios

Scenarios are easy to do poorly and hard to do well. Poorly designed scenarios can damage students physically, emotionally and tactically. This will be an instructor level course covering scenario design, personnel selection and training and how to execute effective and safe scenarios

Friday August 19, 1700-2000:

ConCom

ConCom is a descalation program that gives you the tools to see, predict and manipulate conflict at the root level. It'spowerful stuff.

More details here.

Monday August 22, 1700-2000

PlayDate

This is free, though Peter and I won't turn down donations if they happen to come in.

What's a playdate? One of my goals as an instructor is to get people as strong, independent and self-driected as possible. What that means with respect to SD training is that at some point you have to take responsibility and become your own instructor.

Playdates manifest that. Anyone who has a question, a scenario, a "what if?" can ask. We'll brainstorm it as a group and bang out (quite literally, depending on the question) some answers.

In my usual seminar format there's some information that has to get out, which means I'm hearing myself say the same things again and again. Playdates help keep things fresh for me. I've been to Soja a lot, I love the people and alwys look forward to the playdates.
